  • I want to photograph this scene for hours. I did as long as I could but in autumn the light fades quickly,

  • How would like to have this in your backyard? A great combo of rugged stais and fall foliage

  • An iconic view of the entry into Devil's Lake State Park

  • Near peak colors and reflection. A perfect combination!

  • This simple lake reflection reminded me of Zen teachings. Simple and reflective.

  • If you are familiar with this park there are a lot of ups and downs due to the many ravines that populate it. This one is especially picturesque.

  • This photograph makes it seem as though the water is magically coming out of the rocks.

  • This scene of the Oconto River has interesting white streaks running through the entire length of the river. This is caused by highly oxygenated water from a waterfall upstream.

  • Sunburst Autumn Canopy View at Lapham Peak State Park.

  • It was a balmy 35 degrees (Fahrenheit) as I approached this scene. Gloves being off for any period of time would prevent me from operating my camera.
Dawn Breaking on the Hills of Govern..Park
  • These leaves in their autumn transition just needed to have their picture taken. The tricky part was it was quite windy.

  • I don't think a maple cannot get any more brilliant orange than this! Great place for a picnic.
    _MG_4910.jpg
  • Backlighting a tree in brilliant colors like this is a sure winner.
    _MG_4917.jpg
  • The culmination of a moon setting, the sun rising, fog, a lake reflection, a silhouette, and the end of autumn peak colors allowed for quite a scene to photograph. It was a tricky one too, especially doing it in a single frame without overprocessing the image in post-processing. The additional challenge of keeping the moon sharp but being able to pick up the colors of the rest of the scene and maintain a silhouette.

  • It was a balmy 35 degrees (Fahrenheit) as I approached this scene. Gloves being off for any period of time would prevent me from operating my camera. The lake temperature was warmer than the air temperature and is the reason there is a slight fog on the water. The colors and clear sky were definitely worth it.
